Yarmouth's boys' basketball team has been quietly rounding into top contender form all winter.

Thursday evening, that became apparent to everyone.

The Clippers went to York and in a thrilling back-and-forth contest, not only prevailed, but handed the Wildcats their first loss of the season in the process.

First-year coach Connor Hasson and his players are now clicking on all cylinders and it's safe to say that Yarmouth's going to be in the thick of things well into February.

"We keep a level head, but we celebrate our wins and this one felt different," said junior guard and sharpshooter Evan Oranellas. "It's the biggest one I've ever been a part of. That bus ride home was pretty crazy."

"I think we're capable of playing with anyone in Class B and now, the guys have evidence of that," Hasson said.
