Cheverus girls dominate Bangor co-op in prelim test

PORTLAND—Cheverus sophomore Sydney Brunelle had some extra incentive when the Stags hosted Bangor in a Class A state preliminary round playoff game Wednesday afternoon at Boulos Stadium.

Brunelle wanted to lead her team to victory and she knew if she scored three goals, she'd reach a milestone.

And that's exactly what happened on a day which Cheverus, the No. 5 seed, made quick work of the 12th-ranked Rams.
