Cheverus makes quick work of SP/Westbrook in playoff opener

PORTLAND—There has been an abundance of history, almost all of it positive, made at Shea Field by Cheverus' field hockey team over the years.

Wednesday afternoon, the top-ranked Stags played there for the final time before moving to a turf field next year, against No. 9 South Portland/Westbrook in a Class A South preliminary round playoff contest, and fittingly, they scored a lot of goals and came out victorious.
