Cheverus scores late to stymie Biddeford in rivals' latest thriller

BIDDEFORD—This time, it appeared that the Biddeford Tigers were going to finally get their wish.

And solve their longtime nemesis, the three-time reigning Class A state champion Cheverus Stags.

But despite being down a goal entering the final period, unfamiliar territory indeed, the Stags saved their best for last.

And the end result was a most familiar result.

Victory for Cheverus.

Heartbreak for Biddeford.

With the hope that we'll do this one more time deep in the postseason.
