PORTLAND—Sometimes, all you need one goal.

And it doesn't have to be a thing of beauty.

Especially if you have a standout goalie waiting to protect it.

Wednesday evening at the Cross Insurance Arena, the second-ranked Cheverus/Yarmouth co-op boys' hockey team did battle with the third-seeded Blue Devils' co-op, which features players from Lewiston, Mt. Ararat, Lisbon and Morse in a Class A state semifinal.

And after winning the past two Class B championships, Cheverus/Yarmouth earned the right to play for a Class A crown.

Thanks to that aforementioned single goal.
