Deering denies Portland in spirited season finale

PORTLAND—The gym was rocking, the hitters were pounding and Monday evening's Portland at Deering volleyball showdown proved to be a memorable spectacle.

And in the final match of the regular season, the Rams had just enough to hold off their rival.

Thanks in large part to the brilliance of senior hitter Blake Gayle.
