WINDHAM—Vera DiSotto has been awaiting her opportunity to be the full-time starting goalkeeper for Scarborough's powerhouse girls' soccer team.

It's safe to say she's made the most of her opportunity.

Wednesday evening, the three-time reigning regional champion Red Storm went to rival Windham for the Eagles' season opener and they managed to emerge victorious.

Thanks in large part to DiSotto's heroics.
