FALMOUTH—The baseball gods were on the side of the home team Saturday morning at Croker Field.

Long drives off the bats of the Falmouth Navigators cleared the fence for home runs, while blasts from the visiting Cheverus Stags died in front of the wall and other well-struck Stags' bids wound up in the gloves of the opposition.

It all added up to a victory that got the Navigators back on track, while leaving Cheverus frustrated, but emboldened by the fact the Stags can compete with the league's best teams.
