Freeport field hockey seniors primed for last hurrah

In the fall of 2022, Freeport's field hockey team was infused by the arrival of a passel of highly-touted freshmen.

That class has exceeded the wildest dreams of Falcons' coach Marcia Wood.

And before departing as the most accomplished class in program history, that group has a singular goal in mind.

Returning to the biggest of stages and bowing out as champions.

"It's hard to believe it's my last year," said superb senior midfielder and captain Lizalyn Boudreau, an All-State selection in 2024. "I feel like it's gone by super-fast. I definitely want this last year to be a memorable one, one I can be proud of."
