FREEPORT—Playing without its starting quarterback, Freeport's football team's goals were simple Friday evening when it hosted Morse in a key midseason battle at the Joan Benoit Samuelson Track and Field.

Control the ball.

Get a lead.

Control the clock.

Win.

Mission accomplished.
