Greely boys edge Cape Elizabeth on late 3-pointer

PORTLAND—James Saxe has demonstrated the ability to rise to the occasion throughout his high school career.

After stepping in and saving a shot in a regional soccer final victory last school year, then taking the ball in an enormous spot and helping Greely's baseball team win the Class B state title back in June, Saxe, a junior, enjoyed his finest moment yet on the hardwood Thursday evening against rival Cape Elizabeth.

And as a result, he and his Rangers teammates earned a key victory and gained some confidence in the process.
