CUMBERLAND—When the Greely and Cape Elizabeth baseball teams get together at full strength, you can be sure of several things.

You'll see great pitching and defense.

Timely hitting.

Intensity from innings one through seven (or more).

And a contest that is almost certain to be decided by a single run.

The ancient rivals checked all of those boxes Friday afternoon at Twin Brook Recreation Center in a game in which the lone run came very early and the best defensive play came late.
