FREEPORT—It was everything it was supposed to be.

And then some.

Monday evening, at the Joan Benoit Samuelson Track and Field, the Freeport and Yarmouth field hockey teams renewed acquaintances, their red-hot rivalry and in the squads' first showdown since last year's regional final, put on a show.

A show which required more than 60 minutes to determine a winner.
