This time, it's Windham...Eagles edge Cheverus in another regional final classic

STANDISH—For 53 weeks, Windham's softball team has sought to avenge the one that got away.

Every since they lost to Cheverus in a regional final for the ages last June 12, the Eagles have been preparing for the rematch and Tuesday afternoon at Richard W. Bailey Field, on the campus of St. Joseph's College, they got their opportunity.

And they seized it.

Shocking the reigning state champions and earning a chance to return to the pinnacle themselves.
