SCARBOROUGH—Fabulous pitching was again the theme Monday evening at Packy McFarland Field, but this time, it wasn't a Scarborough Red Storm hurler that stole the show.

And this time, the reigning Class A state champion Red Storm didn't emerge victorious either.

Instead, Marshwood senior Gus Alexander produced one of the finest outings of his young life, throwing a four-hit shutout, and thanks to just enough timely offense against Scarborough senior ace Erik Swenson, the Hawks ended their regular season in style.

While serving notice that they're going to be a very difficult out in the upcoming postseason.
