Thornton Academy's third period surge beats Falmouth in semifinal showdown

PORTLAND—When fifth-ranked Falmouth tied Wednesday evening's Class A state boys' hockey semifinal at the Cross Insurance Arena with 8:56 remaining, things could have gone from bad to worse for the heavily favored, top-seeded Thornton Academy Golden Trojans.

Instead, the Golden Trojans responded like the champions they are and hope to become again in a couple days time.
