There was no letdown.

Just excellence.

And jubilation.

Saturday afternoon at Richard W. Bailey Field, on the campus of St. Joseph's College, Windham's softball team culminated a year-long quest to return to the Class A pinnacle.

Doing so in nearly perfect fashion.

With everyone contributing.

In a dazzling wire-to-wire 7-0 victory over Edward Little, giving the Eagles their second state championship in three seasons.

And as a result, a special class of seniors goes out in style.
