Yarmouth boys ride fast start to quarterfinal win over Leavitt

PORTLAND—Last winter, Yarmouth's boys' basketball team left its heart and soul on the floor of the Portland Exposition Building, but it lost in triple overtime to Lincoln Academy in the Class B South quarterfinals.

Monday evening, the fourth-seeded Clippers returned to the Expo and this time, they made sure they would leave happy by getting off to a fast start against fifth-ranked Leavitt in the quarterfinal round.

Yarmouth's quick start held up and as a result, the Clippers don't have to wait a year to return to the big stage.

They'll be back in two days.
