Cape girls erupt in second half to beat Yarmouth in regional final

FALMOUTH—After being back on their heels nearly the entire first half, Cape Elizabeth's girls' soccer team conceded the first goal to rival Yarmouth in Wednesday evening's Class B South Final at Falmouth High School.

And a year after winning the state title, the Capers were on the brink of going home.

But instead of putting their heads down, they responded like the champions they are.

And in the matter of a couple of days, hope to become again.

Cape Elizabeth closed the game with three memorable goals and is now 80 minutes from glory.
