LEWISTON—It was another Cheverus-Skowhegan state final instant classic.

With a familiar ending.

Saturday afternoon at Don Roux Field on the campus of Lewiston High School, the two-time champion Stags once again had to solve the River Hawks, the state's most storied and accomplished program, to reach the pinnacle.

And thanks to heroes expected and unexpected, Cheverus did just that.

And once again, the Stags have no peer.
