SOUTH PORTLAND—On a night which featured big plays on offense and defense, it was a special teams play that spelled the difference between victory and defeat Friday evening at Martin Memorial Field.

Victory for the host South Portland Red Riots.

And defeat for the valiant Cheverus Stags.
