FREEPORT—With some of the biggest games of the season looming, Freeport's field hockey team needed a challenge.

And Monday afternoon at the Joan Benoit Samuelson Track and Field, the Falcons got exactly that from the four-time reigning Class C state champion Winthrop/Maranacook Ramblers.
