Freeport rallies to beat Yarmouth for much-needed win

YARMOUTH—It took more than two-and-half hours and required nearly 300 combined pitches, but for Freeport's baseball team, Wednesday afternoon's much-needed victory at rival Yarmouth was worth the wait.

The Falcons made things tougher than they needed to be at times, but in the game's key moments, they came up huge and the end result was a win that could propel them to big things in the second half of their schedule.
