Greely caps perfect season, dominates Leavitt in Class C state game

There was never a doubt.
Not in Cumberland or North Yarmouth anyway.
One year after capturing an 8-man large school state title, Greely's juggernaut football team added its first 11-man Gold Ball Saturday afternoon in Lewiston, beating perennial powerhouse Leavitt with surprising ease, 41-6, capping an 11-0 campaign and extending its two-year win streak to 20 games.
"We really jelled throughout the year," said Caleb King, the Rangers' superb fourth-year coach. "We believed in each other and won games. We worked hard, had fun and reached our goal of an undefeated state championship."
