Noble stuns TA in prelim

SACO—It was the season in microcosm for Thornton Academy's seventh-seeded field hockey team Saturday afternoon when it hosted No. 10 Noble in a Class A South preliminary round playoff contest at Hill Stadium.

The Golden Trojans played hard, had plenty of chances, but ultimately came up a goal short.

And as a result, their season has come to a painful end.
