SCARBOROUGH—The scouting report for opponents of Scarborough's boys' basketball team is to limit the damage that can be done by senior standouts and captains Carter Blanche and Adam Fitzgerald.

And the visiting Portland Bulldogs made that their number one goal Tuesday afternoon at Alumni Gymnasium, holding that dynamic tandem to a relatively harmless 25 combined points.

The Bulldogs had absolutely no idea that another gunslinger would ruin their day, however.

An unheralded reserve named Carter Ryan.

Ryan, a junior, produced the game of his young life, burying nine 3-pointers and helping the Red Storm make a powerful midseason statement in the process.
