York knocks Thornton Academy from undefeated ranks

SACO—Thornton Academy's volleyball team met its match Tuesday evening at Linnell Gymnasium and thankfully for the Golden Trojans, they won't have to face the York buzz-saw they ran into again this autumn.

The Wildcats, Class B state finalists a year ago, are staking their claim as perhaps the state's finest squad, regardless of class, and they put on an impressive display while knocking Thornton Academy, a top Class A contender, from the ranks of the unbeaten.
