Cape field hockey blanks York to remain red-hot

CAPE ELIZABETH—If you're looking for a team capable of crashing the expected Freeport-Yarmouth Class B South regional final party this fall, look no farther than the Cape Elizabeth Capers.

The Capers, semifinalists a year ago, are rounding into top contender status again this season and Monday afternoon at Hannaford Field, they controlled play most of the way against the visiting York Wildcats.

But for three quarters, they couldn't rattle the cage.
