Deering boys edge Portland to continue sizzling start

PORTLAND—For Deering's boys' soccer team, Wednesday evening's showdown against ancient rival Portland at Fitzpatrick Stadium proved to be the continuation of a fantastic start to the 2026 season.

For the host Bulldogs, it was a case a of waste-not, want-not.

And the end result was a down-to-the-wire thriller.
