Deering boys hold off Scarborough to continue sizzling start
PORTLAND—Deering's boys' soccer team has been the feel-good story of the 2026 season so far and the Rams have gotten to the point where they're not just happy winning games.
Instead, they're upset when they don't win in more convincing fashion.
Saturday morning at Memorial Field, Deering hosted reigning Class A champion Scarborough, long the league's gold standard and longtime nemesis, and while the Rams came out ahead on the scoreboard, they know that they can still take it to another level.
A scary thought indeed for the opposition.
