Deering boys dominate NYA in interclass showdown

YARMOUTH—Milestones and historic wins are great and all, but Deering's boys' lacrosse team has higher aspirations than just stealing headlines this regular season.

That's because the Rams believe that they're the squad best equipped to crash the party and knock off one of the favorites in Class A when the state tournament begins next month.

Deering took its show to Lewis Field to take on the reigning Class C state champion North Yarmouth Academy Panthers Saturday afternoon and promptly took care of business.

Continuing its recent ascension.

And serving notice to the teams ahead of them in the standings that they shouldn't get too comfortable with the Rams breathing down their necks.
