NYA girls knock off York, continue to surge as playoffs near

YARMOUTH—North Yarmouth Academy's girls' lacrosse team has done a great job this spring overcoming adversity.

And Saturday afternoon at Lewis Field, the Panthers were facing their share at halftime of an interclass battle against visiting York.

NYA controlled the first quarter, but two Wildcats' goals in the final minute of the half, the second coming just before the horn, pulled York even.

Then, the Panthers upped their intensity and dominated the second half to the tune of 6-0 and the end result was yet another victory for one of the top squads in Class C.
