PORTLAND—Down a goal at halftime of Saturday evening's Class A state final at Memorial Field on the campus of Deering High School, one year after a heartbreaking upset loss in the same game, Falmouth's top-ranked boys' lacrosse team was at a crossroads against a third-seeded Yarmouth squad gaining more confidence by the minute.

But instead of panicking, Navigators coach Dave Barton passed along a simple directive for the second half.

Have fun.

And the second half wound up being a barrel of fun, as a 9-1 run produced the most enjoyable result of all.

A championship celebration.
