A year ago, the coverage area swept the boys' lacrosse state titles in dramatic fashion.

The 2026 season promises to be memorable as well, as an abundance of local squads have what it takes to bring home a trophy.

In Class A, Thornton Academy did the seemingly impossible last spring, shocking undefeated, reigning champion, apparently unbeatable Falmouth, 8-6, in the state game to wind up 14-3 and capture the program's third all-time title. The Golden Trojans begin a new season loaded for a repeat run and while it won't be easy, you can expect this squad will once again be at its best when it matters most.
