Never mind the "experts," Falmouth's girls are very much a title contender

When the pundits released their preseason list of girls' lacrosse favorites, the Falmouth Navigators weren't at or near the top of the list.

Falmouth wasn't listed at all in the daily newspaper's five teams to watch and they were mentioned a distant fifth in the Hoffer's High School Sports preview, after defending state champion Windham, perennial powerhouses Kennebunk and Yarmouth and up-and-coming Thornton Academy.

The Navigators don't appear to be bothered by the snubs because they're well-aware that they have what it takes to be something special and so far this spring, they've let their play do the talking.

And it's speaking volumes.
