TA volleyball christens new gym with win over Cheverus

PORTLAND—Hosting Cheverus Thursday evening was enough reason for Thornton Academy's volleyball team to get fired up.

Even better, the Golden Trojans got to make history in the process.

Becoming the first varsity team at the school to play a countable contest at the brand new, state-of-the-art Morin Field House.

And Thornton Academy didn't just play.

It won.

Continuing the program's recent resurgence.
