Cheverus passes another test, downs Gorham to stay perfect

PORTLAND—Addison DeRoche admitted afterward that she wasn't feeling her best Monday afternoon.

You wouldn't know it by her performance when Cheverus' undefeated softball team hosted Gorham in a midseason showdown.

Despite not being 100 percent, DeRoche managed to strike out 20 batters and hit a home run.

And the beat goes on for what has been, at least through six games, the best team in Class A South.
