Thornton Academy boys stay unbeaten with win at Cape

CAPE ELIZABETH—A year ago, Thornton Academy's boys' lacrosse team was doing the hunting and it bagged its biggest trophy in the biggest moment, surprising many by winding up atop the Class A heap.

This spring, the Golden Trojans are the hunted, but they're handling that role with aplomb as well and Monday evening at Hannaford Field, Thornton Academy continued its winning ways by gradually pulling away to beat host Cape Elizabeth.

Thanks to a balanced offensive attack and a smothering defense.
