GORHAM—This time, there was no extra drama.

Just confirmation that the Gorham Rams are the best in baseball team in Class A South.

And if they keep it up, perhaps in all of Class A.

Tuesday afternoon at Ed Flaherty Field on the campus of the University of Southern Maine, the top-seeded Rams ended the Cinderella run of No. 10 seed Noble thanks to a gritty pitching performance from junior ace Hunter Finck, a double, three RBI and more defensive magic from the wizard known as senior shortstop Miles Brenner and timely contributions from everyone else who saw the field to produce a regional championship eight years in the making.
