FALMOUTH—All eyes were on the Thornton Academy at Falmouth boys' lacrosse showdown Tuesday evening, but both teams will tell you that it matters little what happened on the second day of June.

It's what will transpire June 20th that will ultimately be remembered.

That's the date of the Class A state final and one year after producing an unforgettable state game, the reigning champion Golden Trojans and powerhouse Navigators know they'll likely be standing in each other's way once more.

Tuesday's contest was highly anticipated and it didn't take long for Falmouth to dish out a little revenge as it went on to a decisive victory over a Thornton Academy squad which kept many of its cards close to its proverbial vest.
