SOUTH PORTLAND—South Portland's football team is hoping to get healthy so it can compete at the highest level.

The level where the Thornton Academy Golden Trojans already live.

And thrive.

Friday evening at Martin Memorial Field, the undermanned Red Riots gave Thornton Academy everything it could handle for a half, but ultimately, the Golden Trojans' three-pronged rushing attack wore South Portland down and they went on to yet another victory.
