Trainor reaches 300-goal plateau, Windham rolls at Scarborough in finale
The sign tells the story. Windham senior Abby Trainor has gone somewhere no previous Maine girls' lacrosse player has ventured, scoring her mind-boggling 300th career goal in Thursday's 21-10 victory at Scarborough. Trainor's 11 goals were the difference. Contributed photo.

SCARBOROUGH—Abby Trainor has enjoyed some memorable weeks during her nonpareil career as a standout on Windham's girls' lacrosse team.

It's safe to say that they all paled in comparison to what Trainor, a senior captain, accomplished this week.

First, Trainor became the first Maine girls' lacrosse player to produce 400 career points, something she achieved in Tuesday's 23-3 home win over Portland.

Thursday afternoon at the Kippy Mitchell Sports Complex, Trainor needed seven goals to become the first to reach the 300 plateau.

And Trainor didn't just reach 300.

She tacked on goals number 301, 302, 303 and 304 as well.

For good measure.

Helping the Eagles finish the regular season in style with a decisive win at Scarborough.
