Waynflete girls fall at home to Massabesic

PORTLAND—Waynflete's girls' lacrosse team is younger than it's ever been in longtime coach Cathie Connors' 33 seasons, but the Flyers are making some positive strides.

Friday afternoon at Fore River Fields, Waynflete, a Class C contender, hosted Massabesic, a Class A squad, in a midseason battle and while the Flyers couldn't keep up with the older, more seasoned Mustangs, they continued to hint that their future is bright indeed.
