SACO—It turns out that Yarmouth's June magic still exists.

Regardless of class.

The Clippers, winners of the past two Class B state championships in overtime, are new to Class A this season and they've heard all year how Falmouth and Thornton Academy were destined to meet again in the state final.

And they believed otherwise.

Wednesday evening at Hill Stadium, in a state semifinal, third-ranked Yarmouth got a chance to do something about those slights, again making the critical plays at the big moments to not only reach the state final.

But also end the title reign of the second-seeded Golden Trojans.
