YARMOUTH—This spring, for the first time in the three-class format, Yarmouth's boys' lacrosse team is part of Class A, squaring off against the biggest and best squads in the state.

And so far, the two-time reigning Class B state champion Clippers have demonstrated they're a powerhouse regardless of class.

Saturday morning, Yarmouth welcomed Deering, a team that played defending Class A champion Thornton Academy within three goals in its last outing, and the Clippers struck early and often and went on to a decisive victory.
