Westbrook's magical run ends with semifinal loss at Bonny Eagle

STANDISH—A season of triumph which took over four decades in the making finally came to a close for Westbrook's softball team Saturday.

Against a Bonny Eagle squad which is making history of its own.

The Blue Blazes and Scots, teams far from synonymous with softball excellence, squared off in a Class A South semifinal where at last, Westbrook met its match.

But the Blue Blazes didn't go down without a valiant effort.
